egend was the first piece we designed for Moonlight Glass. Our intent was to provide a whimsical view of a landscape that was not normally seen in stained glass. It always seemed boring to us that a landscape had to be presented with the perspective of a viewer looking out over a traditional and static horizon. We chose to use a forced perspective on a line that slopes away from the viewer to juxtapose smaller foreground objects against a known larger object in the backround. The overall effect of the design is very pleasing and creates a sense of movement that encourages the eye to move about the piece.
